Rangers eye the Storm Sunday

It’s another edition of the Battle of Highway 7.
The Kitchener Rangers are in Guelph tonight to face the Storm. Puck drop is at 6:30 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre. You can catch the pre-game on 570 News with Don Cameron and Mike Farwell at 6 p.m.
The bitter rivals have played three times thus far, with the home team winning each game with Kitchener leading the season series 2-1. The last time the Rangers won a game in Guelph was March 13th, 2013.
Darby Llewellyn has come back from the Christmas break and has been fantastic. The sophomore forward has registered five points (3G, 2A) in four games totalling his total over the past two months.
Jake Paterson continued his dominance at the Memorial Auditorium Friday night in his debut with Kitchener. The Rangers are coming off their first win in 2015 on Friday when they bumped the Belleville Bulls 5-0. It was the team’s first game all year not allowing a goal.
David Miller filled the spot left vacant by Justin Bailey on the top line in his debut, playing with Ryan MacInnis and Connor Bunnaman.
The Storm meanwhile will be playing their third game in three days, losing both Friday against the Mississauga Steelheads and Saturday against the Sarnia Sting.
The Storm remain in fourth in the Western Conference with 47 points. The Rangers, are in seventh in the West, trailing Guelph by seven points with three games in hand.
The Rangers signed Jack Kilgour on Friday. He played with the Strathroy Rockets in the GOJHL recording 19 points and 32 penalty minutes in 24 games.
