An increasingly asked question today is whether obese people should be legally protected from acts of prejudice. Many societies around the world have already down things to protect vulnerable groups of people on grounds such as sexual orientation, religion and disability. The Court of Justice of the European Union in December ruled that obese people can be considered disabled. If that’s the case, another question that’s come up is whether there is a danger in calling obesity a disability.
