Lengthy backlogs of trucks at the Ambassador Bridge between Windsor and Detroit may interrupt traffic patterns for days.
A problem with the U-S Customs computer system dramatically slowed the number of trucks border authorities were able to process yesterday.
The head of security in Canada for the bridge says trucks that were slowed down crossing into the U-S will likely be delayed getting back to Canada, which means Canadian Customs will have to alter its staffing to accommodate the shift.
Computer issues were also causing delays for U-S bound motorists at the Bluewater Bridge in Sarnia.
