Unresponsive U.S. plane crashes in ocean north of Jamaica: officials

A prominent real estate developer and his wife were aboard the plane that strayed out of control and crashed off the coast of Jamaica.
Rick Glazer says Friday that his parents, Larry and Jane Glazer, were both licensed pilots. He says he can’t confirm they were killed, saying, “we know so little.”
In the meantime, New York politicians issued statements of condolence.
Larry Glazer ran the development firm Buckingham Properties. He also owned the high performance single-engine turboprop Socata TBM700 he was flying from Rochester to Florida when contact was lost with the plane after 10 a.m.
Two F-15 fighters trailed the plane before it apparently ran out of fuel and crashed just after 2 p.m.
Glazer was also president of the TBM Owners and Pilots Association and active in Rochester civic affairs.
