Hackers target Canada’s top science and technology organization

National Research Council computers in Ottawa have been forced to shut down because of a hack attack.

The NRC is Canada’s top science and technology organization, and the hackers are believed to be from China, but it’s not known what–if any–information was taken.

These types of attacks are not uncommon.

The United States government blames Chinese hackers for a number of data breaches, including one that happened earlier this month.
