Residents affected by horrific fire start to return home

Some residents are returning home after a $5 million dollar fire ripped though Victoria Common Development in Kitchener earlier this week.

The Record reports six townhouses along Louisa St have been given the green light.

The three other units in that block were damaged by the fire and still have to be repaired.

Meantime, a demolition order has been issued for the seven-unit townhouse block that was severely damaged.

Regional police continue to investigate and are still looking for any tips the public may have.

In a statement sent to 570 News, Losani homes says this was the first major fire the developer has experienced in their 40 year history.
