Possible transit strike in Guelph

There is the possibility of a transit strike in Guelph as workers vote on a tentative labour deal from the city.

More than two hundred members of the amalgamated transit union local 1189 have until 8 o’clock tonight to vote.

The latest offer from the city would see small pay increases amounting to 6.4 per cent over the next four years, but there would no change to health and medical benefits.

Results are expected to be announced tonight.
