Regional Police are reporting no underlying medical issues were present in the driver involved in a single car crash last week in North Dumfries.

Police say a post mortem exam of an 81-year-old Cambridge man leads police to believe he fell asleep before driving across the centre line of Old Beverly Road.

His car hit a tractor trailer driven by a 44-year-old Cambridge man. The truck driver was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
