Hazardous gas forces business to evacuate

Everything is back to normal at a business in Cambridge after a hazardous vapour forced the evacuation early this afternoon.

Waterloo Regional Police and the Cambridge Fire Department were called just before 3 o’clock to R-M-I Limited on Industrial Road in Cambridge.

Police say employees were feeling sick just before the call was made. Fire officials say gas from an automotive primer built up in the building causing the illness.

Officials say after the business was ventilated for an hour, employees were able to return to work.
