Cambridge residents have a chance to view the plans and offer their input in the master renovation plan for the old Post Office building.
The building, which has sat vacant for years, will be flipped into a community space with learning labs, a 3D printer, and iPads.
Director of Design and Development with the city, Bob Paul, explains the process.
“We’ve studied the building from the historical perspective and done structural studies, and now we’re at the point of presenting to the public a plan on the historical restoration. Our plan is for this to be back in the city domain. It’s a jewel in the city, it’s a very special building, and we’re going to restore it for community use.”
The public meeting is Tuesday night at 6:00 PM at the Bowman Room at City Hall in Cambridge.
The final presentation will be made to council on June 23.
