11:00am- Dan Glenn-Graham, Ward 10 Councillor with the City of Kitchener, Re: Glenn-Graham, who announced in January he’s running for Mayor of Kitchener, says he is in favour of term limits. He says “The citizens of Kitchener deserve a commitment to democratic renewal and this has to include term limits.” He makes the claim depsite finding out in his first year as Councillor that term limits are unconstitutional in Canada.
11:30am- Scott Witmer, Ward 1 Councillor for the City of Waterloo, Re: At council recently, the Region’s Commissioner of Transportation and Environmental Services, Thomas Schmidt, delivered an LRT project update. Councillors voiced a number of concerns about safety, design, pedestrian and traffic impacts and construction. Shouldn’t these concerns have been raised years ago?
