11:00am- Jay Aissa, Concerned Waterloo Region Resident, Re: Jay is part of the “Defeat WR Council” website that states: “On October 27th Take Back Waterloo Region by Defeating Career Politicians”. Regional Council has become dominated by career politicians who are out-of-touch with the taxpayers who elected them. Every 4 years we hire citizens to represent us on Regional Council. We expect the people we elect to be straight with us when making decisions on how to spend our hard-earned money. We expect Council to focus on delivering efficient and effective municipal services where and when we need them and a price we can afford. We expect those around the Council table to make informed decisions after conducting their due diligence – not based on emotion or their personal point of view. Our career politicians have become the problem not the solution, that’s why it’s time for change.
