Snowfall warning ended for Waterloo Region

Waterloo Region and much of Southern Ontario are no longer under a snowfall warning.
Snow is expected to end Wednesday evening, but local blowing snow may persist.
An additional 2 to 4 cm of snowfall possible for regions in Eastern Ontario.
In addition to the snow, we’re also dealing with some gusty northeast winds resulting in local blowing snow.
Because of the snow, the City of Kitchener has declared a Snow Event. It starts at 11:59 pm Wednesday night and will remain in effect for 24 hours.
Vehicles left parked on city streets risk getting an $80 ticket and being towed.
The snow has also prompted an overnight parking ban for the City of Waterloo.
A full snow plow of Waterloo streets will begin at 1:00 a.m. early Thursday morning. Overnight parking exemptions will not be permitted through to 6:00 a.m Thursday, February 6, 2014.
