10:00am- Allan Cook, Concerned Resident, Re: Last week we learned the Waterloo Region District School Board spent $1-million to renovate their boardroom, while they are running a deficit in their operations budget. Board Chair Ted Martin defended the decision on the show last Thursday. Cook has responded to the Board’s decision in an open letter.
10:30am- Dr. Mark Dobrow, Director of Analysis and Reporting for the Health Council of Canada, Re: The Health Council of Canada released results from the “2013 Commonwealth Fund International Health Policy Survey of the General Public”. It has found that although Canadians have more confidence in the health care system, access to care has not substantially improved and patients are not reporting that their care is better integrated or more patient-centred.
