Target security breach may have affected some Canadians

TORONTO – If you did some shopping at a Target store in the U-S during the holiday season, your personal information may have been stolen.
An email sent to some customers by the retailer yesterday says it believes cross-border shoppers who went to U-S Target stores between November 27th and December 15th were affected.
Target says its investigation found that personal information, such as names, addresses, emails and phone numbers of some Canadians, may have been stolen.
The breach does not extend to payment data for the debit and credit cards of Canadians, which is what was taken from U-S customers.
And Target says its Canadian stores were not affected by the payment card breach.
