Workers called in @ Pearson to deal with backlog due to storm

Airlines are calling extra workers to Toronto’s Pearson Airport to deal with a massive backlog of passengers.

It’s because of a cold snap that prompted airlines to delay and cancel hundreds of flights since Tuesday.

That forced hundreds of passengers to sleep at Canada’s busiest airport, and there are mountains of luggage waiting to be processed.

The deep freeze eased Wednesday, when Toronto got up to -9.
