Weather creating challenges for curbside garbage collection

Waterloo Region says the inclement weather in the forecast will create challenges interfering with curbside collection.
Snow may cover or bury containers, making them difficult to see, and crews cannot reach itesm piled on top of snowbanks.
Roads that are unplowed have slowed down collection and even caused re-routing in some areas.
Residents can expect delays in service, and are asked to remove any uncollected items that are uncollected after 8PM tonight for next week’s collection.
The Cambridge and Waterloo waste transfer stations are open for regular hours today.
