The recent Auditor General’s report featured recommendations on healthy students, private schools, and Service Ontario – not just Ontario Power Generation’s generous salaries.
Ontario’s Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk joined 570’s Gary Doyle Show, discussing her recommendations, when the question was posed – will there ever be an “all good” report?
Lysyk applauds ministries who have already followed through on recommendations made years ago, and that includes the Ontario Power Generation firing executives after reported high salaries.
Lysyk wants to see more compliance with the Healthy Schools Strategy, ensuring that students in Grades 1-8 receive 20 minutes of physical activity daily, and high school students receive a credit in their years.
She also wants Service Ontario to offer more online services, and better telephone answering customer service and timeliness, suggestions that can also be applied to the in-person service.
