Minister Gary Goodyear Visits Miovision Technologies Inc. in Kitchener

Minister of State for FedDev Ontario, Gary Goodyear made his way to Kitchener Thursday morning.
He spoke at Miovision Technologies Inc. addressing the specific ways that the new free trade agreement between Canada and the European Union would affect this industry.
“Now they will have access to an even greater market and have to ability to sell more. That allows us to make more products here in Kitchener, Cambridge, and Waterloo; hire more people and ultimately it grows our economy.”
CEO of Miovision, Kurtis McBride, says that this deal will allow the company to save $35,000 a year.
570 News also asked the Minister about the senate scandal surrounding senators Mike Duffy, Pamela Wallin and Patrick Brazeau.
He says its something that is unacceptable and should be solved as soon as possible.
“They have to first of all pay it back; it would be nice if they would say they are sorry but there has to be repercussions for these kinds of actions. Senators are not exempt from facing the consequences of bad behaviour. I hope they come to a solution quickly.”
