GO Kitchener line restored

Good news for today’s commute. The GO Kitchener line has been restored following a train derailment. 570 News reported the derailment this morning and that the line was blocked.
The 5:49 train that left the Kitchener station this morning arrived about 30 minutes after its scheduled time of 7:53.
The empty freight trains derailed west of Bramalea and blocked a part of the tracks.
Peel Regional Police had said the freight train had 73 cars and that the last four cars came off the tracks, but still remained upright.
