Global Warming Man Made?

An international scientific group says it can say with extreme confidence that global warming is man made.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says human activity is the dominant cause of the global warming that’s been observed since the 1950’s.
Professor Sarah Burch from the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo tells 570’s Gary Doyle Show what the major impact of climate change will be.
“Wet regions will be wetter and dry regions will become drier and we expected to see sea levels continue to rise. Those impacts really, in my view, hit home in cities. We have this incredible concentration of people in these relatively tiny spaces that are quite vulnerable”
She adds this research makes sense as “we have very consumptive lifestyles…it’s the way that we’ve designed our cities that has really given rise to the need, in many cases, to emit these greenhouse gases.”
In its 2007 assessment, the U-N-sponsored panel said it was “very likely” that people were responsible for global warming.
The I-P-C-C assessments are important because they form the scientific basis of U-N negotiations on a new climate deal.
