Communitech Joining Forces With Google

Google has opened its’ doors to Waterloo Region.
As of Wednesday morning, Communitech became a part of an exclusive Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub Network.
Director of Media Relations for Communitech Chris Plunkett tells 570 News this gives local businesses direct access to Google services.
He says, “It allows [businesses] to develop their products faster, get them out quicker, make more money, and hire more people, so it’s really about providing that expertise to local companies.”
On top of that, Communitech is the only Canadian member of the network; something Plunkett sees as a huge compliment to the Region.
“Google is known for using statistics and really analyzing where they’re going to have their footprint and to choose Waterloo Region is a great compliment to the Region and to the talent that we have here.”
Overall, Plunkett says this new relationship is something that will help grow and develop local businesses in Waterloo Region.
