Rain stops day three of the search at Millard farm

For a third straight day, Toronto Police have been searching the farm property in North Dumfries belonging to Dellen Millard.

There is little information on what investigators are hoping to find, but just before Wednesday’s heavy downpour, investigators could be seen digging with shovels near the entryway to the barn.

A blue tarp was also seen on the ground, and then brought back in the barn before investigators left for the day.

That structure has been the main focus for about 20 investigators, who were wearing protective white suits, dust masks, hairnets and gloves.

Earlier, they removed several hay bales and a large box from the barn.

When Toronto Police first arrived at the Millard property Monday, they said new information led them back the site where Tim Bosma’s charred remains were found in May.

Dellen Millard has been charged with the abduction and murder of the Hamilton man.

Police confirm this week’s search at Millard’s farm is related to Laura Babcock’s disapperance — but no further details have been given.

The woman — who disappeared last summer — was romantically linked with Millard, and phone records show she was last in contact with him before she went missing.
