Kitchener woman hurt in hit and run

A Kitchener woman is in a Hamilton hospital with major injuries after being struck by a vehicle that then took off.

Waterloo Regional Police say the 41-year-old was walking on the shoulder of Bleams Road near Strasbourg Road in Kitchener around 10:30 last night when she was hit.

Police say the vehicle lost its passenger side mirror and some orange plastic in the collision. They believe the mirror is from a 1999 – 2000 Mazda Protege.

They also say the vehicle will have damage to the front right corner light and fender.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
