A nationwide campaign – Muslims for Peace – will be launched today in Guelph. The initiative is spearheaded by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at, which has organized such local inter-faith events as the “World Religions Conference.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at is an outright opponent of terrorism and this event comes as tensions rise over the Boston Marathon bombings.
“Muslims for Peace” will be launched at 11:30 this morning at a community centre at 190 Fife Road in Guelph.
