Flood Warning Update

The Grand River Conservation Authority has updated its Flood Watch list.
Here are the areas to avoid:
FLOOD WATCH MESSAGES
Conestogo River in St. Jacobs
Flows in the Conestogo River have forced the closure of the low level bridge upstream of St. Jacobs. The flood coordinator of Woolwich Township is asked to maintain closure of this bridge until further notice.
Speed River in Cambridge
Flows in the Speed River in Cambridge have forced the closure of the Black Bridge Road bridge and the walking trail under Hwy. 401. The City of Cambridge is asked to monitor these locations over the weekend and reopen at their discretion.
Mill Creek in Cambridge
Flooding is expected to continue in Soper Park through the weekend.
Grand River in Brantford
Flows in the Grand River through Brantford have forced the closure of Gilkison Street. The flood co-ordinator for the City of Brantford is asked to maintain this closure until Friday afternoon.
Grand River in Brant County
The road superintendent for Brant County is asked to monitor roads in the vicinity of the Six Nations – Brant County boundary along the Grand. Flooding is expected to continue through Friday.
Grand River through Six Nations
Flows in the Grand River through Six Nations territory have forced the closure of Six Nations 4th Line and Bateman Line. The flood co-ordinator for Six Nations is asked to maintain these closures until Saturday morning.
Grand River in Haldimand County
Campgrounds along the river and on Grand River Sports Road downstream of the Village of York can expect to be flooded through the weekend. The Grand River will peak through Haldimand County late Friday into early Saturday morning in York, Cayuga and Dunnville.
