BlackBerry CEO appears on CNN

The long awaited release of the BlackBerry Z-10 in the United States happens tomorrow. AT&T will be the first of several major U-S carriers to sell the new device.

In advance of its release, BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins appeared last night on Piers Morgan Live on CNN. Morgan himself is a longtime BlackBerry user and supporter and asked Heins how the company plans to bring back former users who have migrated elsewhere as well as attract new customers. Heins said there is no product on the market like the Z-10 and he is encouraged by the response the new device has received in markets where it has already launched.

Heins stands by his assertion, the Z-10 has surpassed anything Apple has rolled out to date. He said it allows users to flow freely from one application to another without having to close one. Heins also said users like the fact they can own just one device that will allow them to use it for work and for personal use while maintaining privacy.
