Winter Storm Watch in Effect

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for Waterloo Region and much of southern and eastern Ontario.
The weather authority warns of a significant snowstorm to roll in Thursday night and continue to bring heavy snow into Friday.
An Alberta clipper is expected to track just south of Lake Erie on Friday and officials say this clipper may intensify into a winter storm as it approaches southern Ontario.
Snow ahead of this clipper will start late Thursday.
Environment Canada says many parts of southern and eastern Ontario could get 15 cm of snow by Friday evening.
There will also be a brisk easterly wind, resulting in blowing snow in many areas Thursday night and into Friday.
