Possible gunshot & kidnapping in Waterloo?

Waterloo Regional Police are asking for the public’s help following a bizarre incident in Waterloo late last night.
Police say a woman out for a walk just after 11:30 heard what she thought was a gunshot as a vehicle approached her.
According to police, the woman told them, as the vehicle passed, she noticed a passenger window was shattered and someone from inside the vehicle yelled “Call the cops. I’m being kidnapped.”
This happened on University West near Keats Way.
Police responded but were unable to find any evidence, such as broken glass.
The vehicle is described as beige, possibly a Nissan Maxima.
