Flu outbreak expands at GRH’s Freeport site

An influenza A outbreak at Grand River Hospital’s Freeport site has been expanded.  

The hospital says it now includes the Union Terrace Two west court after a new patient contracted the flu.  

The hospital first declared an outbreak on November 22nd and now says three patients are affected.  

It says they are all stable and isolated from other patients.  

In the meantime, visitor restrictions remain in place for Union Terrace two.
