It’s the end of the line for the “Twilight” series, as the last instalment – “Breaking Dawn: Part 2” opens in wide release today.

However, some theatres provided early showings, including the Empire on Ira Needles in Waterloo last night.

Hundreds of fans turned out, excited to see the new flick, but sad this would be the final one in the series.

Industry watchers expect this will be a record-breaking weekend predicting sales in the $150-million range, which would be the best opening weekend for any of the Twilight movies.
