Thousands attend Remembrance Day services

Tens of thousands of Canadians attended services across the country to honour the nation’s war dead and pay tribute to surviving veterans.
The National Remembrance Day service was held in Ottawa where thousands gathered at the National War Memorial.
Among those in attendance was Roxanne Priede, this year’s National Silver Cross Mother, representing all Canadian mothers who’ve lost children in service to their country.
Her son Master Corporal Darrell Jason Priede died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan in 2007.
Thousands also attended the services in Waterloo Region.
