Cambridge Mayor wants better ambulance response times

Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig is concerned about ambulance response times in his city.
He wants them to be on par with the rest of Waterloo Region. The average time in
Cambridge is 11 minutes and 45 seconds, over 50 seconds slower than Waterloo and about 35 seconds behind Kitchener.
Craig tells 570’s Gary Doyle Show, with budget discussions underway, now is the perfect time to talk about the issue.
“I think the number one thing is to get back to the basics in services…Certainly the EMS and police are two services we need to have a good look at.”
“Our times (ambulance response) over the last three years have been getting worse.” added Craig.
Craig thinks one of the solutions is to get more ambulances on the road.
