Olympic dream on hold

Kitchener boxer Mandy Bujold has been waiting to find out if her Olympic dream will be dashed or realized and today she found out. It has been dashed.
Bujold tweeted on her official Twitter account Monday morning that she will not be headed to London for the 2012 Olympic Games.
“I just missed this one (London Olympics)…I feel I should be there, but there is nothing I can do about it right now…definitely going to train and be at that next one.” said Bujold, in an interview with 570 News on Monday afternoon.
She feels there was a lot of politics involved in this.
“In my division…they didn’t go with the best…they went with a country who had already qualified two girls (Brazil)…I don’t really know where they got the decision from.” added Bujold.
Bujold had to wait for a possible wild card after losing her first round match at last month’s World Championships in China.
