Mr. Hockey helping local charities

Mr. Hockey will be part of some major fundraising efforts in Kitchener this weekend.
Red Wings great, Gordie Howe will be at Verses Restaurant from 11am until 2:30pm today to help raise money for the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation and the Salvation Army’s Christmas Toy Drive.
There are still some tickets available.
$999.99 includes lunch, a personal photo with Gordie, a Howe CCM Red Wings jersey and a Gordie Howe Northland hockey stick.
He will also be at the Keller Williams Golden Triangle Realty office at 640 Riverbend Drive on Sunday, signing autographs from 1:30 until 3:30pm.
They are asking $99 for an autograph on a small item, 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to Family and Children Services of Waterloo Region.
