Roofer hurt on the job

A 19-year-old man is in hospital after an on the job accident in Cambridge this morning around 11:00.

Ministry of Labour Spokesperson, Matt Blajer tells 570 News it happened at a home on Stoneman Court, “a worker employed by Dynamic Roofing was tied off on the roof when he made access to the ladder. He got onto the ladder and unhooked himself, then slipped, causing him to fall approximately 14 feet and lose consciousness.”

Blajer says the man was taken to hospital by ambulance, and the investigation is on-going.

Regional Police Staff Sergeant Dean Smith tells 570 News the extent of the injuries are “undetermined.”
