TEDxWaterloo happening today

TEDx brings together some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers. About 1500 people have been chosen to hear a number of speakers, including a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, a dancing physicist, and an acclaimed Kitchener playwright.
TEDxWaterloo organizer Ramy Nassar tells 570 News, the “TED” movement is bringing knowledge to the masses. “What blows my mind when I see a TED talk is these brilliant ideas that the individual has. The format has really helped distribute and widen the audience.”
TED is a non-profit organization created nearly 30 years ago devoted to what it calls “ideas worth spreading.” Its speakers can be heard at TED.com.
Nassar says it gives him great hope in the world we live in, “more than anything else, that not just are there people who are delivering these talks but, there are billions of people around the world that are consuming this video and this content.”
