East 401 back open

Cambridge OPP confirm to 570 News that a woman was killed on the Eastbound 401
near Highway 8 this afternoon.

The vehicle-pedestrian collision happened just before 1pm and officers re-opened all lanes just before 5:30.

Police tell us the woman walked onto the highway and was hit by a transport-truck, which then caused a chain reaction collision with a cube van.
