Police investigate suspicious death

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of an elderly Kitchener male resident.

Just after 5 on Monday morning, Police responded to Perkel Place and found a dead body inside the home.

The investigation is happening with the assistance of the Homicide Branch.

Inspector Kevin Thaler tells 570 News the body was taken to Hamilton for a post mortem examination.

The name of the deceased has not been released.
