Deaths considered murder-suicide

Waterloo Regional Police have updated a suspicious sudden death investigation of a mother and her daughter on Monday.

It’s now being called a murder-suicide following results of post-mortem examinations.

Police believe 38-year-old Joanna Nowakowska killed her four-year-old daughter, Bianca, and then herself, in her townhouse on Mooregate Crescent in Kitchener.

The investigation is being closed, but police ask people with information to continue coming forward.
