The Premier visited Communitech to check out its newly expanded facilities in the Tannery in Kitchener’s budding ‘Innovation District.’
Regardless of the Conference Board of Canada report saying health-care spending needs to be slashed, Premier Dalton McGuinty tells 570 News the Cambridge Memorial Hospital expansion plans will continue to go forward as planned, “absolutely, we’ve accounted for that. Keep in mind the Conference Board of Canada report is premised on the notion that we do nothing and make no changes, but we are going to be making changes.”
McGunity points to the upcoming report from former TD Bank Chief Economist Don Drummond that will help shape where the province makes funding cuts.
