Blaze in St. Jacobs does heavy damage

A fire has essentially destroyed a small business in St. Jacobs.
The blaze broke out late yesterday afternoon at Kel-Care Metal Polishing near the downtown.
Callers to the 570 Newsroom said that heavy smoke was spewing out of the building on Albert Street when it began.
Firefighters from several departments were called to the scene, including St. Jacobs and Elmira.
No injuries are reported and no damage figure is available.
A nearby home was evacuated as a precaution.
