Waterloo recognized for its efforts in Goderich

The City of Waterloo has been recognized for its efforts to help the residents of tornado-ravaged Goderich last summer.
It’s been given the “Protecting Tomorrow Today” award by the Ontario Parks Association.
Three members of the city’s environment and parks services division were dispatched to Goderich to lend a hand with the huge clean up.
Mayor Brenda Halloran says “I am extremely proud of our city and of the staff who willingly donated their time to assist this community.”
Halloran added, “Anything we can do to assist communities in returning back to a state of normalcy is the right thing to do.”
Also recognized were Kitchener, Cambridge, and Guelph.
