A grim discovery by searchers sifting through the ruins of a home gutted by fire near Woodstock Monday morning.
OPP confirm human remains have been recovered from the home located off Township Road 12.
At this stage, police are saying nothing else about the possible identity of the remains.
The Woodstock Sentinel-Review talked with neighbours and reports the home was owned by a Cambridge doctor and his wife: Dr. Ron Gingrich and Lois Gingrich.
The probe into the fire involves the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and the Oxford County OPP Criminal Investigation Unit.
