This weekend you may have noticed some GO trains in the area as they began testing for the inaugural launch on December 19th.
On Monday the 19th, GO trains will leave Kitchener for the first time. The first train departs at 5:52 am. A second one will leave at 7:10 am. Both trains will have a final destination of Union Station.
The return trains leave Union Station at 4:45 pm and 5:45 pm.
M-P-P for Kitchener-Centre John Milloy made the announcement at the VIA Rail station on Weber Street in Kitchener back on November 25th.
The trains will make several stops along the way according to Milloy, “Although we always talks about Union Station being the destination, there are important stops along the way, and business and industry there. And also as it grows overtime, I think this is going to be an important link for people coming to Waterloo Region,” Milloy said.
The trains will make stops at the Guelph, Georgetown, Mount Pleasant, Brampton, Bramalea, Malton, Etobicoke North, Weston and Bloor GO Stations.
