The rain, rain – won’t go away

It truly is late November, judging from the wild shifts in the weather.
First, it was heavy rain yesterday and early this morning.
So much rain in fact, the GRCA issued a level 1 flood warning for New Hamburg and Ayr.
For New Hamburg it affected Milton and Jacob Street, while in Ayr, Tanner and Piper Street are of concern.
Residents are advised not to park in low lying areas overnight.
570’s Laura Carney was in New Hamburg on Wednesday morning and files this report.
Throughout the day today – snow is a possibility however it likely won’t stay very long.
570 News weather specialist John Wilson says we received over 53 millimetres or over two inches of rain yesterday.
As for the snow, the amount forecast has been downgraded.
John says we are expecting less than 5 centimetres this morning thanks to the fact the brunt of the snow has fallen in Michigan.
As well, since the ground is still warm, much of it will melt on contact.
