Kitchener Rangers defenceman Ryan Murphy was one of 41 players invited to Canada’s World Junior selection camp next month.
Murphy was one of the final nine cuts in 2010.
He tells 570 News he was pretty nervous about getting a call, considering his recent concussion.
Murphy says he was informed he would be going to the camp by Rangers General Manager and Head Coach, Steve Spott on Sunday night.
“I think I have an advantage over some of the guys because this will be my third World Junior camp.” said Murphy.
“I’m just going to go there and do my best.”
Kitchener’s Mark Scheifele and Tanner Pearson of the Barrie Colts also got the call from Team Canada.
The camp opens December 10th in Calgary.
