The AIM Health Group is bringing a new lifestyle medicine clinic to Waterloo Region.
It is a healthcare company out of Toronto, Dr. Mike Sehl is the Vice President of Corporate Health with the AIM Health Group and explains what AIM is all about.
“We’re located in TechTown and our goal is to bring “lifestyle medicine” to the Waterloo Region. Lifestyle medicine is a physician lead multi disciplinary team approach to early detection and treatment to chronic disease.”
Sehl says that it is becoming more and more frequent for people who are 50 years old, to feel like they are 68 years old. He says that the AIM Health Group uses cutting edge science to figure out you’re body’s real age. You can go in for a four hour assessment which has on site radiology and uses ‘ahead of the wave’ exercise physiology tests, which tell you your exact body mass index, which Sehl says all comes down to make you feel better.
“So our goal is to help people find out where their baseline is, and then provide a solution for them and how to exercise properly and efficiently as possible to get results.”
The AIM Institute of Lifestyle Medicine has its grand opening this morning in TechTown in Waterloo.
