A new collision centre is up and running in Kitchener.
John Heffner, President of Heffner Motors Ltd tells 570 News, the new 24,212 sq. ft. Heffner Collision Centre was three years in the making, “we started painting cars there last Monday and, we’re really excited to be moving into the new facility because the old one was becoming very very tight, and very constrained. We definitely need the space that the new one is going to provide us.”
The centre will house a number of operations from painting and detailing, to collision repairs. There is also a 20,000 sq. ft. basement that is equipped for storage.
So far, Heffner says the centre staffs 20 people including five paint technicians, eight licensed body technicians, three technician apprentices, two detailing staff and one shop foreman. There are also three appraisers, one collision centre manager and one office manager.
An official grand opening is happening today at the King Street East facility from 11am to 3pm. It includes a ribbon cutting ceremony and guided tours.
