Mandy Bujold won boxing gold at the Pan-Am games last night defeating Colombian Ingrid Valencia in the 51-kilogram weight class.

Bujold had already made history at these games as the first female to box in a major competition.

Her victory came a day after best friend and teammate Mary Spencer won gold in the 75-kilogram division.
